Your data. Your call.

The short version

We collect the minimum we need to run your membership and connect you with makers. We don't sell your data. We don't run ads. We don't share your info with anyone except the makers you've chosen to support, and only what they need to fulfill your orders.

What we collect

Account info you give us: name, email, password (hashed), billing address, payment method (stored by our payment processor, not us).

Usage data: the makers you've picked to back, purchases you've made through partner makers, your referral source if applicable, basic analytics like which pages you visit and which products you've clicked on.

Support communication: anything you send us through contact forms or email.

We don't collect location data beyond what's needed for shipping. We don't use fingerprinting or cross-site tracking.

Why we collect it

To bill your membership, route support funds to the right shops, fulfill purchases you make from partner makers, answer your questions, and keep the platform secure. Usage data helps us figure out what members actually want more of — not to build ad profiles.

Who we share it with

Partner makers: when you buy something from a shop, we share the info they need to ship it to you — name, shipping address, order details. They handle that information under their own privacy practices.

Service providers who help us run the platform (payment processing, email delivery, error logging). These providers only get what they need and are bound by confidentiality.

Creators: if you signed up through a creator referral, we share aggregate stats (number of active referrals, retention metrics) but not your identity or contact info.

Law enforcement: only if we're compelled by valid legal process.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

Your rights

You can access, export, correct, or delete your data anytime from your account settings, or by emailing us at privacy@knurlbase.com. Deleting your account removes your personal info within 30 days, except where we're required to retain it for tax, legal, or fraud-prevention reasons.

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA. EU/UK residents have additional rights under GDPR. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Cookies

We use a small number of functional cookies to keep you logged in and remember your shop picks. We don't use tracking cookies, third-party advertising cookies, or pixel trackers. You can block all cookies in your browser settings, though the logged-in experience won't work.

Security

We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. Passwords are hashed. Payment info is handled by PCI-compliant processors — we never see your full card number. If a breach occurs that affects your data, we'll notify you within 72 hours as required by law.

Children's privacy

Knurlbase is not intended for anyone under 16. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, email privacy@knurlbase.com and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy materially, we'll email members at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
